Underwing Moth - Catocala amatrix

Size: wingspan 6-7 cm
This underwing moth was in our poplar tree. Maybe a Darling moth?

Catocala
This is Catocala amatrix, # 8834. The larva feed on Poplar.

so much for the ID. I just couldn't figure this one out. I didn't know the markings could vary. Interesting that the larva feed on Poplar. :)
