Dytiscidae? - no, Noteridae - Suphisellus

Dytiscidae? - no, Noteridae - Suphisellus
Medford, (~15 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
July 11, 2006
Size: ~2.8mm
somehow I previously missed the obvious curved tibial spurs (their more obvious with the Mk 1 eyeball, than in this image which is taxing my equipment's abilities), making this Noteridae, not Dytiscidae.

a new family for me :)

keying from Downie and Arnett, this appears to then be Suphisellus bicolor punctipennis Sharp
