Why am I wasting my time
identifying tabanids if you are going to frass the image and therfore lose a useful comment? Where else would you find data showing that atratus flies in November in FL?

 
i agree with Tony
if an expert spends time identifying something and thinks it's worthwhile, I think it shouldn't be frassed, but it's just a suggestion because it's fine for you as the photgrapher to frass whatever you choose. sorry if i sound bossy

Black Horse Fly
a female. Although most abundant in Summer, they do fly all year in FL.
