Which Orb Weaver? - Araneus gemma

Which Orb Weaver? - Araneus gemma
Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, USA
November 21, 2013
This spider was hanging on a rather tattered remnant of a web up in a tree; therefore, I assume it is some sort of orb weaver. Does anybody know what type it is?

Moved
Moved from ID Request. I'm went ahead with A. gemma based on the dorsal white line. However, as mentioned below, both those other species can look very similar.

Yes, perfectly harmless Orb Weaver
in the genus Araneus. Did you get a ventral image? Might be gemma, gemmoides, or illaudatus?

Araneus gemma
I couldn't get a shot of the other side of the spider because I couldn't get the camera btw. it and the tree. Darn. Thanks for the ID folks.
