What kind of insect is this pair - Arilus cristatus - Male Female

Size: 3 cm
I found this pair atop one another on the eaves of my garage about a half hour a go and would love to know what type of insect they might be

Great thanks - I am feeling remorse in that the amateurs told me they were stink bugs and I unfortunately killed them only to find out they were beneficial wheel bugs. :(
