Hairy brown spider, Northern California - Alopecosa

Hairy brown spider, Northern California - Alopecosa
Angwin, Napa County, California, USA
October 6, 2013
Found this in October in my vegetable garden. Spotted one very similar under my sink two years ago but it ran and hid so fast I couldn't see details. Does anyone know what this is? I've been bitten by spiders getting stuck in my rubber boots as I work outside in the garden a lot. Fortunetly I've only suffered swelling and pain, no ER needed despite dealing with a couple stubborn black widows. I just want to know if this fellow's bite might require medical attention.

Agree with Wolf Spider
Maybe Allopecosa kochi, but I can't be too positive of the exact species without a close up of the underside so I'll just move it to genus. I think some of the Schizocosa species can look very similar too.

Lycosidae
One of the wolf spiders, a harmless hunter.
