Callopistromyia annulipes Ulidiidae??? - Callopistromyia annulipes

Callopistromyia annulipes Ulidiidae??? - Callopistromyia annulipes
Cobb County/Marietta County, Georgia, USA
February 24, 2006
Size: 10mm
This is the best ID I've been able to come up with, but I'm never sure. I found another image in the Ulidiidae section which spoke of it's elaborate display. This one almost seemed to be vibrating, and moved it's wings in various patterns before resting in this straight up position. It moved quiet fast, and was difficult to get a clean shot. As a result these were the best I could do. Thanks for the help.
