Crawfordville, Wakulla County, Florida, USA
November 11, 2013
Size: 2.8cm
These are very common here and like to live in dark areas of the workshop and shed. There are a lot of palmetto bugs around and perhaps it preys on them. These spiders average an inch (2.8cm) in total length. The weather was warm averaging 80F during the day and 50F at night. These spiders seek the dark as soon as they are disturbed.
