Beetle - Eucanthus

Beetle - Eucanthus
Lady Lake, Lake County, Florida, USA
July 17, 2006
Size: 7mm
Cleaning out my image files, and thought I would try to get an ID before I toss them. I think this one was attracted to my light. It has moth scales stuck on it.

Eucanthus sp.
looks like lazarus, but there are several spp. in Florida. The head and pronotum are usually diagnostic for spp. of this genus. The shape of the canthus will tell you E. subtropicus for instance.
