Neoheliodines cliffordi on wild 4 o'clocks - Neoheliodines cliffordi
Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
June 11, 2011
Microleps.org says: "Four species of Heliodinidae...feed as larvae on wild four o'clock, Mirabilis nyctaginea (Nyctaginaceae)"
It was fun seeing the adult on the larval host plant.

Although the plants can be weedy, I've only seen a few in the vicinity, growing on a rock outcrop overlooking the river.
