Katydid Identification - Conocephalus fasciatus - Male
Calumet, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
August 27, 2013
I assume this is a katydid since it has very long antennae and long hind legs. I found it on a Queen Anne's Lace
near the Calumet Sewage Ponds. Vegetation grows along the side of the gravel roads. I took this photo at 3:00 p.m.
The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior.
