Aphonopelma chalcodes female - Aphonopelma chalcodes - Female
Tucson, Arizona, USA
July 27, 2013
Size: about 5 inches
I had seen the burrow in the field webbed over, and I probed to see if anyone was home. It turns out that this little lady was home. She was extremely docile, and she let me carry her as I searched for other specimens. I named her "Zia" after the sun symbol that is so popular in New Mexico.

You can move her to species if you're certain of the ID. I'm not familiar with these.

On the other hand, nice find! It does look very A. chalcodes.
