Beetle - Bolbocerosoma bruneri

Beetle - Bolbocerosoma bruneri
Chanhassen, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA
July 6, 1996
This is a bit of a tough angle, but what type of Scarab beetle would this be? It's hunkered down in a Compass Plant leave node.

Moved
Moved from Bolbocerosoma. This is also the only sp. I see recorded for Minnesota, biplagiatum can be found in Wisconsin, west.

new sp. for the guide
off hand I'd say B. biplagiatum or bruneri - odd behavior, don't often see on leaves

Geotrupid
One of the Geotrupidae, genus Bolbocerosoma.
