Stylogaster sp. - Stylogaster neglecta - Male Female
London, Ontario, Canada

An Entomologist in Ottawa says these are conopids, either Stylogaster biannulata or S. neglecta - anyone know which? Apparently, they're parasitoids of crickets. Please excuse the pornography: I envision this photo on a billboard above the caption "It takes 4 hands to handle a whopper."

I'm impressed!

Yes, a memorable picture thou
Yes, a memorable picture though I can't help with the ID! They are certainly something I haven't seen before.
