Amaurobiidae ?
I'd vote for an Amaurobiidae instead. In any case, it is very much like them to be caught in a bath : this is the time of year when the males roam around the house in search of a mate. I am not familiar with N american spiders, but there are a few pictures in the guide that are very similar (Hacklemesh weaver ?)

I agree.
This is a male Amaurobiid, probably in the genus Coras.

Great!
Thank you both. looked a little different to me than the two pictures I found of Amaurobiid, but closer than what I was thinking and that may be from being warmly soaked. It just didn't seem like it belonged among the orb weavers. The pictures I saw though didn't show the sparse hairs on the legs or prominent spinnerets, but I didn't find pictures of genus Coras either. THank you though I think this gets me close enough to add to my species list :)!!!

definately!
looked it up elsewhere to find an exact specie picture and you are of course right!!! perfect! Thank you VERY MUCH!
