In weeds beside Olympic Stadium. The ridged line through the eye looks similar to Chortophaga but that's just a wild guess. Too bad I didn't see it fly.

Clouded grasshopper.
Pretty certain this is a female clouded grasshopper, Encoptolophus sordidus. You might try tracking down another one this fall, getting a variety of angles. Helps to have a dorsal aspect for this species, as well as an inkling of the color of the hind tibia ("shin"). All that takes nothing away from 'this' lovely shot:-)
