My Latest Glob - Bourletiella

My Latest Glob - Bourletiella
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
December 3, 2006
Size: 1.0 mm
What an odd thing to see walking up the coffee maker. Tiny, tiny, maybe the size of a seed tick. It measured in at 1.0 mm.

By the time I got the camera out it was walking across the lineoleum on the kitchen counter. I never did figure out what it was until hours later when I saw the photos.

Not sure how it ended up in the kitchen, but perhaps it had been living in a potted plant, or maybe it came in with some nature objects that we bring in from time to time, like colorful fall leaves.

Bourletiella sp.
Hi Stephen. Comparing this image with similar pictures of Tom, it might be Bourletiella. Family = Bourletiellidae.
Happy 2007!
