That's a rare one, with very limited distribution.
Also, Butterfiles through Binoculars the West doesn't have them flying after September.
Looks like Western Pygmy Blue to me:
Sometimes they hold their wings differently, more like yours:

Blue Butterfly id
The Western Pygmy does seem a more apt identification than the one I'd proposed. My Peterson Field guide tended to favor the rarer one at first, although upon review of the book and with your images, the Western Pygmy description certainly does appropriate.
