Dicyrtomina ornata

Dicyrtomina ornata
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
December 3, 2006
Size: 1.0 - 1.9 mm
Re US record possibility for this species:
Just to make sure that the species I had photographed earlier hadn't moved out and been replaced by another species in the three day interval, I took several shots of springtails at the site while collecting specimens for confirmation studies. The unlikely had not happened. It was the same species judging by the images I captured, including this one of a springtail sitting on top of the plastic.
