Pogonognathellus flavescens? - Pogonognathellus flavescens

Pogonognathellus flavescens? - Pogonognathellus flavescens
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
November 28, 2006
Size: about 3.5 mm
This is the same individual, showing a little wear and tear from several days' cohabitation with a couple dozen beetles. More of the scales are missing. Frans said if I pestered it enough to tire it out, I might get it to leave its furcula out so I could try to examine it for short/long pattern of dental spines on the forked part of the furcula.
