for the ID, Charley. I had photographed Sceliphron caementarium in my yard a month and a half before I took the photo of the nest:

How big are these? I'm thinking maybe spider wasp...

 
The structure
is still there in my shed, so I went out and measured it today. While looking at the photo it is 30 mm wide by 32 mm high.
