This cicada looks dead ??
The discoloration & marbling in the wing veins, pronotum and eyes (+ missing antennae ??) = typical characteristics of dead cicadas.
Was this cicada posed?
likely transitional between eastern/southern and western/northern types.

The cicada was very much aliv
The cicada was very much alive and not posed, it did fly off when I tapped it after the picture. In any sexually reproducing organism, from one end of the extreme to the other, there is a significat amount of variation in charactericts.

Tibicen Species.
It reminds me a little of Tibicen pronotalis; however, the thorax coloration seems a little more drab than what I am used to seeing in your location.
Let's let Mr. Bill Reynolds weigh in on this.
