folding-door spider - Antrodiaetus

folding-door spider - Antrodiaetus
Susquehanna State Park, Harford County, Maryland, USA
March 22, 2014
Size: 5.9 mm head-abdomen
Rocky woods along the river. I found this spider under a rock, fitting tightly in a shallow horizontal chamber in the soil exactly it's size. It tended to "play dead".
