Unknown larva - Dermestes

Unknown larva - Dermestes
Louisiana, USA
Size: 12mm
I remember seeing something like this here but I can't remember what it was. I remember that 3 pairs of jointed legs were mentioned.

This was delivered with crickets purchased at a pet store so I'm unsure of its origin. I'll frass it after I get an ID or in about a week if no one can ID it.

Thanks in advance.

Dermestes sp.
Dermestes if it has dorsal horns near end of body. [It does.]

Frassing?
I would vote not to frass this. I have seen far worse images, anyway:-) Please reconsider. Thank you.

I was under the impression that the origin of the specimen was important. There are other nice photos of this species in the guide already. If origin isn't important, I can post more/better photos.

Looks like a dermestid.
It would be one of the larger carcass-feeding varieties, genus Dermestes, such as this one.

A
beetle larva. Someone else will probably be more specific.
