Small headed winged ant - Tetramorium immigrans - male

Small headed winged ant - Tetramorium immigrans - Male
Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA
March 23, 2014
Size: BL approx. 6mm
I was not thinking of submitting this male winged ant since I found it dead on the floor of my home. With the double noded petiole I thought I could get this narrowed down easily but things don't quite seem to add up (it certainly is larger than the sizes noted for Solenopsis for instance). Appreciate any thoughts on where this belongs.

Tetramorium caespitum (sp. E). European pavement ant. Thanks for all of the additional shots!

Thanks Brandon
for the ID. Really big-headed worker females and rather small headed winged males - interesting! Move or frass?

I'd keep it. There are oodles of female pictures, but only a few of males. The number of poses you capture is quite useful.
