Size: 17 mm
This species is noted for its narrow form (hence the name "narrow-cylinder"). The elytra are widest in the posterior half, and the sides of the pronotal are disc steeply rounded.

Have you ever caught O.c. subcylindricus? I've wondered if the type series was labeled with an incorrect location.

 
That is the focus of my spring effort.
I have numerous pitfalls out this spring in Santa Clara County, and I have little doubt that the type locality is as described by Nunenmacher (vague as it is). :-) We'll see how I do.
