. ID'd from specimen, now a photo-voucher. Thanks Lisa, another new one!
It is similar to S. australis, but the beak is abruptly bent near the apex (best seen in the 3rd photo) and raised elytral costae do not extend to apex, as they would in the similar S. costipennis. Measured length is 12 mm.
A good southern record for this species. I cannot find it previously recorded from Kentucky.
