Centroptilum bifurcatum nymph molting and exuvia - Anafroptilum bifurcatum - Male
Healdsburg, Russian River, Sonoma County, California, USA
April 6, 2014
Size: 5 mm
Centroptilum nymph preparing to emerge as a subimago. Shortly after I took this picture the subimago emerged. Unfortunately I was photographing another nymph at the time and missed getting a picture of the subimago. The other photo is of the exuvia left behind.
