Staphylinidae? on skunk cabbage - Pelecomalium

Staphylinidae? on skunk cabbage - Pelecomalium
Rattlesnake Lake, King County, Washington, USA
April 6, 2014
Size: 4mm
Large numbers of these guys on Western Skunk Cabbage, many of them mating. Would love an ID as far as it will go! Walked with the end of the abdomen slightly tweaked upwards.

Some poking of the literature indicates this might be Pelecomalium testaceum?
