Surprised to find this plume moth out and about after the snow etc that we have had this month. Would appreciate knowing a little more about it if possible.

Debbie Matthews concurs in this ID. In the west there are both reddish and gray (the usual eastern) forms. Also, this is one of the few winter plume moths to be found anywhere, the only one in many more northerly places.
