Moved to Pholcus opilionoides
Moved from
Pholcus
. This is (or definitely appears to be) the recently introduced
Pholcus opilionoides
. It's not the common introduced
P. phalangioides
or
P. manueli
that we used to expect in the northeastern USA. The carapace patterns for comparison, in order:
P. opilionoides
,
P. manueli
then
P. phalangioides
:
P. opilionoides
has the dark marks near the lateral border of their carapace, whereas the others do not. (Your 3rd image in the set nicely shows the carapace.)
