My guess is another parasitic wasp.
But it does look a little different to me.

Sorry I'd like to help, but I've never collected a live insect before. Except to put them outside. And even if I decided to try I'm sure this sawfly is gone. I admire those who make insect collections though and have enjoyed looking at specimens in the natural history exhibit at our museum.

Nematus sp. This looks like an exotic species not before recorded from North America. It could be a first record. However, I am not going to speculate on its identity from photos. If you have this specimen or can get some specimens, I would appreciate seeing them. Only by examination of specimens can this be accurately identified and documented from N. Amer.
