beetle on cactus petals - Pteleon brevicornis
Desert Bot Gard Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
April 20, 2014

ID confirmed by S.M. Clark: Pteleon brevicornis
Moved from ID Request.

[duplicate]

luperine of sorts, maybe the same as the all-red one...
...on the next pic; maybe akin to Pteleon

Yes, I thought they might be the same sp.
I'll get some better shots, it would be nice to get the sp, I get so few new ones in SE AZ by now. Phoenix is already surprisingly different though
