Size: approx 15mm
Could this be Sericomyia chrysotoxoides? The range seems wrong, but there is a record here from British Columbia...
The image is from a scanned photo so it's not my best for identification purposes. Please frass if it doesn't contribute (especially since I don't have a Month or year to contribute)
