Laricobius nigrinus Fender 1945
Range
native to w. NA (north to AB-BC)(1); lab-reared beetles widely released elsewhere to control the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, an invasive aphid
Food
Woolly adelgids, esp. Adelges tsugae (larvae can only complete development on this species)
