There were tons of these guys with their webs right next to the sodium lamps.

Yes.
Well, definitely the genus Achaearanea, anyway. Please unlink these two images, though. The other image is of a male specimen, so they can't possibly be the same individual. Neat shot showing the newly-hatched spiderlings.
