Pteromalid - Gastrancistrus

Pteromalid - Gastrancistrus
Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA
May 8, 2014

Moved
Identified by Dr. Steve Heydon, who seems not to have previously seen species of the genus having a white scape.

Moved from Pteromalids.

Thanks Bob
I suppose I should try to find another and save it. There seems to be an endless variety of tiny wasps in the new growth tall grass I've been sweeping. I generally only collect a fraction of what's there because I know I won't have time to get to them.

Moved
Moved from Eulophinae.

Thanks Ross, these are confusing to me...

Pteromalid…
Note the five-segemented tarsi, wing venation, and longer antennae.
