cold weather beetle - Copris minutus
Medord, (~15 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
January 5, 2007
Size: ~8mm
Out for a stroll on a very warm January night (~60deg). This beetle and one moth were the only insects at the poarch light. From the current data in BugGuide, you'd think this beetle only is found in months with more dark than daylight :)
