brown mite
Windham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: about 1.2 mm
Collected Jan. 1, 2007 by sifting hand-shredded moss samples gathered Dec. 9 from a wooded area. There appeared to be a fair number of this species in the moss. Millimeter marks are seen in background.
