Giant Leopard Moth Caterpillar - Hypercompe scribonia

Giant Leopard Moth Caterpillar - Hypercompe scribonia
Victoria, Victoria County, Texas, USA
May 5, 2014
Size: 21 mm
I found it feeding on a leaf of Epazote (Dysphania ambrosioides).
The photo above is taken on 14 May, 2014. The caterpillar looks like I found it on 05 May, 2014.

Edit on May 20, 2014:
I fed the caterpillar with leaves of Epazote (Dysphania ambrosioides. A few days ago the caterpillar climb and it fixed to the lid of box.
I thought that it would turn into pupa. But just it just molting.
Photos taken on May 18, 2014. It still fixed on box lid.
Photos taken on May 20, 2014.
It went down but now it seems don't accept the leaves of Epazote. It not fed yet.
I tried to offer some others leaves, but without succes. But it is still alive.
Edit to edit: Seems it accepted sunflower leaf :)
Edit on May 22, 2014:
I was wrong, it climbed on sunflower leaf but not fed. But it moved on a mulberry leaf and now it feeds on mulberry leaves. It look more healthy and it increased slightly. A photo taken on May 21, 2014
