Killer butterflies

Killer butterflies
Shawnee State Park, Scioto County, Ohio, USA
May 20, 2014
Apparently they ate a deer. I recognize some crescents at left and a Platydracus beetle or something similar in the middle. This was a busy place. Video of the commotion on Flickr.

scarab
I spy what looks like an Onthophagus hecate scarab in the bottom center.

Looks like your assemblage includes
Three male Silvery Checkerspots (Chlosyne nycteis), one male Pearl Cresent (Phyciodes tharos - or - is it a Northern in Ohio? - has prominent orange antenna tips), one male Northern Cloudywing (Thorybes pylades), and one probably male Northern Pearly Eye (Lethe anthedon). The moth is a Mournful Thyris (Thyris sepulchralis). For the beetle try Gold-and-brown Rove Beetle Ontholestes cingulatus. The fly in the lower right quadrant - not a clue [shot in the dark - maybe family Heleomyzidae].
