Windham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: about 0.3 mm
Collected and photographed Jan. 1, 2007 by sifting hand-shredded moss and fungus samples gathered Dec. 2, 2006 from wooded area.

This is another mite that's so small I probably sucked it up by accident with my aspirator while pursuing larger game.

Bdellidae
This mite was identified as a member of Bdellidae (in the same superfamily as Cunaxidae) by:
