tiny Rove: Scaphidiinae? - Baeocera

tiny Rove: Scaphidiinae? - Baeocera
Medford, (~15 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
January 14, 2007
Size: ~2.2mm
found jumping around a pitfall trap on a +50deg day.

possibly similar to a recent post by Tom Murray?

Looks compressed laterally,
Toxodium possibly. Arnett states "Body strongly compressed laterally, metacoxae seperated narrowly, by less than width of meta femur." Looks like the spp of Baeocera in my collection(6spp) but higher than wide, unlike Baeo....

Thanks
I just "found" this guy again yesterday, so I'll have to try the keys in the area of Toxodium.

Thanks,
Tim
