Chironomid (?) sp. - male

Chironomid (?) sp. - Male
~1 mi. W. of the Galleria, in Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
May 28, 2014
Size: < 2 mm
The antenna and overall shape make me think Chironomidae, and the "short" front tarsi suggest Orthocladiinae, I think. The mouthparts are visible, though not very clear, in the lateral pic and look chironomid-like to me. I looked at most of Bugguide's chironomid images and didn't find a match. Any help would be very welcome. I still have the specimen.
