I suspect a Clouded Skipper
Definitely a skipper (see how the antenna curl at the end) & more specifically it looks like a Clouded Skipper(Lerema accius). See the following for more information:

Pattern below indicates Cloudywing.
Small spots and alignment above indicate Northern Cloudywing skipper.

I really need to find some good books on ID.... ever time I think I am close, some minute detail (that I should have seen) throws me off of the mark... I can generally point them in a general direction, but never get it w=exactly right!

 
My choice of ID books
"Kaufman Field Guide to Butterflies of North America". This guide has images of above and below shots of typical specimens as well as variations. Difference in male and female patterns are noted and a very important feature is the location by species which helps to readily eliminate many species not in the area of interest.
