This tiny black bug was nectaring on Cicuta maculata, Poison Hemlock, along an upland morainic pond in an oak hickory woodland.

using the data from the fly to add an image of the bug and forgot to move the bug after unlinking. Trying to work too fast. Just what I holler at my students about all the time!!
