Size: Approx. 20mm long
I found this one on the inside top of our neighbor's front door frame around 7 PM and escorted it outside for a photo shoot on wide-ruled notebook paper.

Looks like a big mama Phidippus. Maybe just the dominant regius down there. But you are in Jeff's homeland in FL. He probably knows its scientific name, its place of birth, and what he used to call it when it was just a molt 2 baby.

Thanks, Herschel! I wonder if this might be an otiosus -- the markings seem to me to look more like that than like regius. (I'm using Lynette Schimming's and Patrick Coin's shots for comparison, contrasting with Christopher Conley's shot for regius.) Though regius is inside the otiosis group. Lovely lady, whatever she is.

99.9% sure this is Phidippus otiosus. Only confusion would be with P. mystaceus but yours doesn't have the carapace markings of mystaceus.
