Walking Stick 2002 1 - Diapheromera femorata

Walking Stick 2002 1 - Diapheromera femorata
Jim Thorpe, PA, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, USA
August 15, 2002
Size: 3 inches approx
The date is probably not correct-I just guessed-sorry. I didn't save the originals and had a tendency to crop very small.

Male
due to thin build, middle femoral markings, claspers.

Thank-you! ^__^

walking stick
This is Diapheromera femorata, the common woodland walking stick. The swollen and striped middle femora and spined hind femora separate it from others.

Kirk, do you know your other walkingsticks?
If so, we could really use you help in the guide. There are about six pages of images here most not identified to species, and some that may be misplaced which don't fit your description above, but are currently placed under femorata. If you could look at and identify those, we could move them to the proper place in the guide. Thanks

Thank-you! I've seen a few
Thank-you!

I've seen a few that looked very different from this but smaller.
