Found on the wooden wall of the local Service Station which leaves the outside lighted all night. Intermittant creek nearby & in a rural residential area with some small orchards & gardens. 4250 elevation. Fremont Cottonwood, mesquite, Hackberry, Catclaw, 4-wing Saltbush, Desert Willow and in the adjacent hills scrub oak with Pinion & Juniper at a little higher elevations.

S. heiligbrodti occurs eastward of this species. The two species were at one time considered the same.
