Pale ant - Pseudomyrmex pallidus

Pale ant - Pseudomyrmex pallidus
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, USA
January 11, 2007
I spotted this ant going solo - did not see any similar ants in the vicinity. Sorry the pic is fuzzy.

Moved
Moved from Ants.

Pseudomyrmecinae: Pseudomyrmex
Fuzzy perhaps, but no mistaking this distinctive ant. From the shininess and pale color, the species is almost certainly Ps. pallidus.

Possibly
a Pseudomyrmex
